The FINANCIAL — of America announced on March 10 that Cindy Flanders has been promoted to Global Commercial Banking executive for the Mid-Atlantic Region.

In her new role, Flanders is responsible for leading the delivery of the full resources of of America to companies with revenues of between $2.5 million and $2 billion in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and the District of Columbia.

Flanders has been with of America and its predecessor organizations for over 30 years. In addition to more than 20 years in commercial banking, she also spent time in consumer banking, operations and finance. Most recently, she served as the Commercial Banking executive for Maryland, the District of Columbia and northern Virginia.

Flanders earned a Bachelor of Science degree, graduating summa cum laude, and a Masters of Business Administration degree, from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. She has served as president of the University of Maryland Alumni Association and currently serves on its Finance Committee. Flanders is a NASD Registered Principal with Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses.
